Established in 1995, Dikamar® - Protective Solutions is a Portuguese brand based in Pombal and a global reference in the safety footwear industry, proudly carrying the “Made in Portugal” label.
In 2004, Dikamar® diversified its product range with the introduction of PVC Safety Boots, with steel toe caps and insoles, for Construction, the Food Industry, and other sectors where safety footwear is a priority.
In April 2009, Dikamar® was acquired by a family group with business ties to the Seaboots Group and, in May 2010, the Alpha® Boots brand was created for the production of Polyurethane boots. This year, the “Made in Portugal” production of PU boots became a reality, and the company became one of the few polyurethane boot manufacturing units in Europe.
Currently, Dikamar® produces safety boots and footwear, workwear, and insulated workwear to meet the needs of various work environments and market segments, from agriculture to industry, from extreme temperature conditions to the food sector. All products are made from virgin raw materials sourced from certified suppliers, ensuring comfort, high quality, and durability.

DIKAMAR®: Our Journey from the Beginning to Today
This is the story of Dikamar® and why we began developing high-quality wellington boots. Founded in 1995, Dikamar® has been dedicated to providing the best boots for professionals working in demanding and challenging environments.
The beginning of our story
Dikamar® was founded by engineer Karim Jamal Kara and his wife Dilshad Karim Kara with the aim of developing the best wellington boots, providing workers with superior comfort and protection.
Start of production
Dikamar® began producing waterproof wellington boots for Agriculture, Gardening, and Fishing. This year marked the beginning of Dikamar® and the introduction of high-quality boots proudly made in Portugal.
Start of PVC safety boots production
In 2004, Dikamar® introduced the PVC safety boots featuring a steel toecap and steel midsole, designed for demanding industries such as construction and food processing.
Acquisition of Dikamar®
Dikamar® was acquired by a family group with extensive expertise in the safety footwear business and strong ties to the Seaboots Group.
Launch of Dikamar® Polyurethane Boots brands
In May 2010, Dikamar® launched the Alpha® brand, marking the beginning of its polyurethane (PU) boots project. That year, the production of polyurethane boots 'Made in Portugal' became a reality, establishing Dikamar® as one of the few manufacturers of PU boots in Europe.
Eaglegrip® Boot Launch
The EagleGrip® was specially designed for the Food Industry sector.
Launch of SafetyPro®
As part of our commitment to innovation, we proudly launched the SafetyPro® brand, offering a wide range of safety footwear designed to protect every worker, no matter the job. Dikamar® delivers reliable foot protection tailored to your needs.
Launch of Ticeworkwear® and expantion of facilities in Portugal
With a focus on protecting workers in colder environments, Dikamar® launched its insulated workwear brand, Ticeworkwear®. In the same year, Dikamar® expanded by opening a second, more modern factory in Portugal, equipped with enhanced technological capacity to meet growing demand.
Dikamar® Corp USA and expansion into the USA
In 2020, Dikamar® took a significant step forward by expanding into the United States with the opening of a new factory in Ansonia, Ohio. Dikamar® now produces and sells its high-quality PU boots directly to the American market, strengthening its global presence.
Expansion of facilities in Portugal
Dikamar® has expanded its facilities in Portugal with a new production plant. This expansion represents a significant milestone for the company’s future, enabling the creation of new products and increasing overall production capacity.
30 Years of Dikamar® - Rebranding and New identity
Dikamar® celebrates 30 years of innovation in the protective footwear sector and introduces a new vision for the future. The company has launched its new logo and brand signature: Dikamar – Protective Solutions.

Dikamar® PU boots are developed with Alpha AirTech®, a high-quality polyurethane formula that offers exceptional thermal insulation, keeping feet protected in temperatures as low as -30°C to -70°C. The lightweight, flexible PU structure forms millions of tiny air bubbles that trap heat, ensuring long-lasting warmth without adding extra weight.
Engineered to Last Longer
Thanks to the Alpha AirTech® superior durability, Dikamar® boots last 4 times longer than traditional PVC or rubber alternatives. The robust PU structure resists to abrasion, chemicals, oils, and extreme temperatures, while maintaining flexibility and comfort over time.
